Our terms of service

1. General

At Bridgwater Bathrooms, we take pride in delivering high-quality bathroom installations with transparency and professionalism. Our goal is your complete satisfaction and we encourage open communication throughout your project to ensure any issues are rectified as we go along. By booking our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

2. Ownership of Fixtures & Fittings

All fixtures, fittings, and materials supplied by Bridgwater Bathrooms remain our property until full payment of all invoices has been received. Failure to settle outstanding balances may result in the removal of goods or legal action.

3. Deposits & Cancellations

  • A non-refundable deposit (usually 10%) is required at the time of booking to secure your project start date. This covers scheduling and securing our tradespeople.

  • The deposit amount paid will be deducted from the final invoice upon project completion.

  • If you request to reschedule within 2 weeks of the agreed start date, the deposit will be forfeited in full, as this short notice results in lost income for our scheduled tradespeople who may be unable to secure alternative work.

  • If you reschedule more than 2 weeks in advance, 50% of the deposit will be forfeited to cover administrative costs and lost work opportunities.

4. Estimates & Additional Work

  • All estimates are based on the information available at the time of quoting.

  • If unforeseen issues arise (e.g., hidden pipework problems, structural issues), additional work may be required.

  • Any extra charges will be discussed before proceeding, ensuring transparency and no unexpected costs.

5. Payment Terms

  • A non-refundable deposit (usually 10%) is required at the time of booking.

  • Costs for materials will be charged in advance of the project start date.

  • Tradespeople labour costs will be invoiced based on work completed to date and are due at the end of each calendar month.

  • The final invoice will be due upon receipt upon completion of work, with the deposit amount deducted.

  • Late payments will incur interest at a rate of 8% per annum, charged on a daily basis after the invoice due date.

6. Workmanship & Warranty

  • Our work is carried out to the highest standard by fully qualified and insured professionals.

  • We offer a 6-month workmanship warranty, covering installation issues (excluding wear and tear or misuse).

7. Client Responsibilities

  • Ensure access to the property for our team during agreed work hours.

  • Inform us in advance of any site-specific restrictions (e.g., parking limitations, access requirements).

  • Inform the office immediately of any concerns or issues arising during project implementation. This allows us to find a solution together to meet your needs quickly and efficiently.

8. Liability & Disruptions

  • While we aim to minimise disruption, bathroom renovations involve dust, noise, and temporary loss of facilities (e.g. bathroom facilities, water, electricity)

  • We are not liable for delays due to third-party suppliers, unforeseen complications, or extreme circumstances (e.g., adverse weather, illness, material shortages).

9. Changes to Scope of Work

  • Any requested changes to the original design or scope must be agreed upon in writing and may impact cost and timeline.

10. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by UK law, and any disputes will be handled within the appropriate legal framework.

  • By proceeding with our services, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms.
